  • 6 cups cranberries
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 orange, unpeeled, chopped and seeded
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup of slivered almonds
  • 12 dried dates, chopped
  • 12 dried dates, chopped
  • 1 cup crystallized ginger
  • 1 cup of cider vinegar
  • 1 Tsp, salt
  • 1 Tsp. dry mustard
  • 3 Tbsp. chopped fresh sage or 1 Tbsp. dried

Begin preparing this vegan diet recipe by adding all of the ingredients, with the exception of the sage, in a large saucepan over medium heat. The ingredients should be allowed to cook, and stirred occasionally, until all of the sugar has dissolved. Once the sugar had dissolved, increase the amount of heat and allow it to boil until the cranberries pop and the mixture begins to thicken. Remove the chutney from the heat and allow it to cool. Then it’s ready to serve!
